I just finished posting a long, detailed account of my morning....and all was lost because the eBlogger was having some technical difficulty and my words were left floating out there in Cyberland somewhere!

Let's see if I can give you a quick abbreviated version...

I stayed up late last night watching my Alma Mater become the new college football National Champions. Go Gators!

This late night made my getting up quite early today a little more difficult....but, I managed to do it so that I could be one of the first in line at the Goodyear tire place.

Another day of car maintenance ahead for me and my trusty Jeep!

Settling in the little waiting area, I came prepared and brought lots of reading materials with me. Joining me as we were biding our time were two men, one, a student reading through a textbook and the other, a man in a suit reading through today's paper. It was a great chance to do some catching up on my reading while being forced to sit and wait.

Suddenly, a middle aged woman entered our little group and began chatting incessantly to all of us. The two men ignored her, so I was left listening to her talk on and on about everything and nothing. So much for my reading...

Luckily, it wasn't too long before the mechanic came out to tell me that my car was good to go. Two new tires later....and more $$$ being put into my car maintenance....I drove away feeling good that I had gotten all of that done. I had them check out everything (brakes, etc.) to make sure that my car was as safe as it could be.

I am especially cognizant of getting my car in tip-top shape because of some very precious cargo that I will be driving around in exactly 24 days (but who's counting?!). : )

OWEN IS COMING FOR A VISIT!!!!!! Adam, Jenny, Jeffrey, Janet, and, of course, Owen, will be descending upon Birmingham on the weekend of February 2, 3, and 4th. I can't wait!

This afternoon I will be going to the local fire department where they will be installing a borrowed infant car seat into the back of my car. I am definitely getting into the "Grammie Mode" as I prepare for their visit! I love it!
