I made a call to the service station that was holding my car captive for the last day and a half.
Here is pretty much how the conversation went:
Me: "Hi, I am calling to check on the status of the Jeep Grand Cherokee."
Them: "Oh?"
Me: "Yes, I brought it in yesterday."
Them: "Right. One minute, let me get the mechanic."
Mechanic* (*he is a good ole Southern boy) "Yes ma'm, it is ready."
Me: "Oh, great! So, the last thing that you replaced must have done the trick, huh?"
Mechanic: "I reckon."
Now for those of you who do not live in the South, "I reckon" loosely translated can mean:
1) Yep.
2) Maybe.
3) I think so.
4) Hmmmm...I sure hope so.
5) I am crossing my fingers that it fixed it.
6) I guess that we will find out as you drive it away and we don't see smoke coming out from under your hood.
or,
7) all of the above.
Bert, from your comment yesterday I saw that you surmised that it was the water pump that needed fixing. Well, you may end up being right, however, according to the mechanic and the bill here is what they did: "Replaced the temperature sensor and coolant fan relay module...checked engine codes and cleared computer. Total cost: $327.02"
I am hoping that this will really solve my problem.
Only time will tell,
I reckon. : )

Okay, I hope your vehicle is good and truly fixed. Just don't be 'reckon it.
Good one, Bert! : )
That made me laugh because I say "I reckon" all the time. I reckon I'm a southern girl.
Glad your car is fixed!
