T'ai Chi Chih, Boggle and soul searching...

One of the glorious parts of going away on this kind of trip is that one has no idea what time it is (pajamas and robes are all that is needed for most of the time!)...or even what day it is.

Dave had asked me: "What is it that you girls do all day?". The key to my answer is that we can do absolutely nothing and it can be so wonderfully filling.

I would say that we spent the majority of our time together deep in conversation....a lot of introspection mixed with joyous laughter. We women are good at that mix. : )

We each shared bits of our life's journey's up to this point as well as our future dreams and aspirations. It is a connection that is unlike anything else...

Sheryl is a T'ai Chi Chih instructor and she shared some of this with us. The concept of these movements is to balance our internal energy called Chi. The artist in me found it interesting that T'ai Chi Chin could be a tool in expanding one's creativity and awareness. The hard part for me about the movements was being able to "let go" and focus on what I was feeling inside my body. Sheryl has been doing this for a long time, and her ability to stay in balance and feel her "energy" was pretty incredible.

The three of us all love playing games...so, we worked our minds over many games of Boggle. I found that I need to hone some of my word-finding skills as the two of them were quite adept at this and drew circles around me. Keeping a dictionary nearby afforded us the chance to discover new words and enlarge our vocabularies. It is a wonderful mind exercise!

Last night I enticed Dave to play some Boggle with me. I figure that if I practice enough, I may be ready for a re-match with the two of them one day! : )
