Letter to my MOM

Dear Mom,

There comes a time in every daughter's life when they look at their mothers in a new way.

For me it occurred on the day that I became a mother.

I was able to see you as the real woman that you are for the first time and it was an incredible feeling.

I realized that day that you had so many strengths that I have grown to admire. Along with this realization came the fact that you also had some frailities and vulnerabilities that I have come to understand.

Woman to woman, we have grown together in so many ways...I respect you, I laugh with you, I feel such compassion for your struggles and such joy in your triumphs.

So, on this Mother's Day, 2007, I wish you continued good health...success with your daily crossword puzzles...and, most especially, LOVE!
