Lake Skaneateles
Walking down from the backyard of the house is a beautifully, clear and gentle lake. My sister and her hubby have a speed boat down there as well as skis, an inner tube for those brave enough to be pulled behind the boat, and kayaks.
I'm here in Virginia for Ella's first birthday party, so I imagine you'll soon be traveling to Owen's party as well. What a special time!
I enjoyed looking at your pictures of Skaneatles. My husband was from Auburn, so I've driven through there several times. The homes are absolutely gorgeous, aren't they. When my son was getting ready to go to Penn State, we drove to the campus and then on to New York to visit some of my husband's family. We went over to Skaneatles and went into a business establishment for some lunch.
With all the historical markers that you find in the area, there was a sign on the wall that said, "On this date in 177_, (I don't remember the exact date) exactly nothing happened in this spot.
How wonderful that your parents have had 65 years together.
