Sounds and looks like a great trip. You look marvelous. I have walked through Muir Woods many times with my brother. He lives in MT.Shasta and I try to go every summer for a visit. Missed this year but hoping for next. If you ever want to get away from all the hustle and bustle of the city, go to Northern CA. There are so many beautiful things to experience.
