One more day....

The sun is out....the beach is calling....it's a gorgeous day here in Destin. Sadly, it is our last so we want to take in every minute of it. Sitting on the porch 19 floors up, the view is incredible. We have laughed ourselves silly, eaten until we could burst, talked about anything and everything that five girls could possibly talk about...shopped, walked, etc. etc......just enjoyed being together and appreciating this time away from the hectic pace of life that we left behind.

Even though we are in our own little "bubble" here at the beach, we are certainly not immune from what is going on in the world. The horrific situation in the Middle East is on all of our minds. Between the computers and the television...we are constantly inundated with updated (as well as graphic) information. Modern technology has changed forever how we view world events...including, unfortunately, wars that we can now view in the comfort of our own homes.

On a lighter note, as I write this, the girls are sitting around sipping their coffee and talking about our plans for the day. You know, all of the important things like where to have our dinner, which suit to put on and how many towels to take to the beach. Another day in paradise....
