Grammie, I am so so sorry. I know what a loss it is for you. You are right as it is one of the hardest thing I have ever done and I am sure many others. You have those wonderful memories and they will be dear to you. I will thinking about you during this very difficult time friend.
I am so sorry for your loss. I had a similar experience with a cat. She came to live at our house when my daughter was ten, and she lived to be 18.
My husband was killed in an accident five years ago, and we grieved together. She loved him and missed him as I did. She was my constant companion and friend. I know about the getting in bed with you. Color would jump up and get under the covers and just look up at me.
She had problems with her liver for several years and finally one day just left. It's hard. I haven't gotten another one yet because I am gone so much visiting my granddaughter (you understand that one!) but I do miss having something living near me in the house.
Oh, Beverly...thank you so much for your comments and for understanding what I am going through.
I am so sorry for the losses that you have experienced in your life. I can tell from your blog that you are a very positive and upbeat person with a lot of courage and a heart fill with love.
I am so glad that we have connected via our blogs. I feel such a sense of sisterhood with you and feel that we have many parallels in our lives.
