It looks like that is what I will need to do until Tuesday when I head to Minnesota to spend two weeks with my new grandson!
I can't wait....This has been such an incredible ride and it is really now just beginning anew for Adam and Jenny.
In trying to change Owen's diaper at the hospital today, Adam laughed and said to me, "We really don't know what we are doing!". I smiled inside as I remembered those first few days with both of my newborn boys and having that very same feeling.
I think that babies must have an inner sense that tells them that these two people in charge of him now are going to have to go through a bit of a "learning period"...and he will be the one that they 'practice' on!
Maybe new parents should come with a 'warning label'.

Another bit of insite from a grandparent. I hope they'll consider teaching Owen American Sign Language so he can communicate until he learns to speak. My granddaughter Fay has a hard time communicating her needs and desires and it frustrates her to the point of screaming (and biting too). If they can do Little Owen that favor, they will do themselves a HUGE favor!!
Good luck and God Bless the new arrival!!
